Tapping toe and drumming fingers – waiting.
“The following is a test of the Emergency Broadcast System. The broadcasters of your area in voluntary cooperation with the FCC and other authorities have developed this system to keep you informed in the event of an emergency. If this had been an actual emergency, you would have been instructed where to tune in your area for news and official information”.
This concludes this test of the Emergency Broadcast System.”
Mind if I sit?
That test pattern had an indian head in it?
How cool! I haven’t seen that test pattern since I was erm…ahem…a VERY young whippersnapper, back when there were three VHF channels (6, 8, and 10 and one UHF Channel-39).
That was before Cher infomercials, when TV stations actually signed off for the night and played the Star Spangled Banner.
Those were the days, my friends!
But I do want to say that I hope things are getting better. ((HUGS!))
